Old Machines I have owned

I got nostalgic recently for old machines I used to own, so I went and hunted some of the older ones down, I'll update this list when I feel old again :-)

ZX 81

I remember this thing burning the varnish off a table when I tried to play chess on it, these machines had 1k of memory.

ZX Spectrum

Anyone remember Burger Time on the Specccy ?

Oric 1

I had the 48k version of the Oric 1, I was on a 6 month waiting list to get one !

Commodore PET

Friday afternoons, I used to book the computer lab out at College so a mate and I could play ASCII space invaders on these machines

I loved playing chuckie egg on this machine while I was at college

I held my college "Chuckie Egg" high score ... so sad

This was another fave, loved this machine

The Atari was the top machine at the time, (remember "Montazuma's Revenge"), until Commodore came out with the Amiga, oh sweet jesus the graphics was soo much better on the Amiga, so .....

Commodore Amiga 500

My first real machine, any one remember Magnetic Scrolls and the Pawn ?

Commodore Amiga 2000

Working now, so I had to upgrade :-) I spent £200 on 2 meg for this machine, it came on a board as long as my arm

I did my first hack on one these machines, accessing IBM mainframes running VM/CMS

John Connor had one of these in Terminator 2 as well, I loved this machine

Same machine John Connor used in Terminator 2 to hack cash tills with, I couldn't get mine to do the same though :-(

Oh sweet hardware... it even had a printer built in

Oric Atmos

Bring on the PDA's!

This was another fave, loved this machine

PSION 5 Revo

All the pisons were amazing, very much ahead of their time.

oh my, the memories.

oh my, the memories. Scattered as they may be - it was a easy living lifestyle, a bit escapes me - I recall Delphi Internet chat rooms. I recall getting my first microphone set up, joining a chat room and promptly blowing everyone's eardrums. And how could you ever forget C:\debug? Good times.
